The WITCOM ‘Compare and Save’ web site service feature is not intended to be used by existing WITCOM
customers.
Please note the completion or use of our web-based service(s) by you does not constitute WITCOM’s
acceptance of you as a customer or for us to act on your switching request. It is solely at WITCOM’s
discretion whether to act in any manner or accept your application for switching (porting) your 13/1300
service to WITCOM.
WITCOM provides the material on its website for informational purposes only.
By using this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions, privacy policy and acknowledge reading
them.
Operational Statement
WITCOM promotes a web-based service(s). The ‘compare and save’ service is intended such that a consumer
(you, your), can call us or fill out our ‘COMPARE & Save on your 13/1300 telco bill’ web lead form on our web
site, www.witcom.com.au, to inform you that 13/1300 inbound telco services savings may be available to you.
The WITCOM service is free for your personal use and you are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
Please note the completion or use of our web-based service(s) does not constitute WITCOM’s acceptance of
you or your switching request. It is solely at WITCOM’s discretion whether to accept your application to switch
(port) your 13/1300 service to WITCOM.
The promoted service uses various Sources of Information, further clarification please read our Terms and
Conditions policy.
The promoted estimated saving(s) is preliminarily calculated and relates to call costs only which we need to
confirm by checking your bill. Please note any added savings on your current network costs will also require us
to check your bill. WITCOM at its own discretion may not require your bill to be checked and confirm the
promoted savings and proceed with your switching request.
If you complete our web lead form and select to ‘click to switch’ to Witcom we may complete the appropriate
internal checks to determine whether we can make the savings based on your information provided. If
WITCOM is satisfied it will then perform your request to switch your nominated 13/1300/1800 inbound service
number to WITCOM. Please read our Privacy Policy and this Terms and Conditions Policy.
Once this switching process, porting, is completed WITCOM will begin to receive call records for the billing
requirements regarding your service allowing us to send you a monthly bill. You may also receive a final bill
regarding this service from your previous 13/1300/1800 provider. This may relate to calls in the period before
the switch to WITCOM, charges relating to previous account balance and or terms of your engagement with
the previous provider.

If your web form is not complete or we need to clarify information, we may contact you by using the
information provided by you to confirm details we require to fulfill a smooth porting of your 13/1300 services
to WITCOM.
If at any time, you decide you do not wish to receive marketing communications from WITCOM just let us

enables us to provide a sales lead related services to you, inform you of different product offerings and to

Collection of personal information through website activity
We collect the personal information that you enter onto our website when you use our enquiry form. We may
also collect non-personally identifiable information (such as your and browser details) or in some
circumstances personal information about you when you interact with us online via external social media

platforms (e.g. Facebook or Twitter). Any personal information that we may collect from social media
platforms is determined by the privacy settings of your account within the social media platform (that is, the
extent to which your personal information is publicly available on the social media platform) and the content
of your post.

other third parties and stored on your computer’s hard drive. This allows our servers to recognise your

We will respond to any such request for access as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event will
acknowledge receipt within three business days of receiving your request. We may require you to set out the
request in writing. Wherever possible and practicable, we will provide with you a copy or details of your
personal information in the manner requested. Otherwise, we will work with you to find a mutually agreed
alternative. If, after exploring all options, we cannot provide you with access to the information in the form
requested, we will provide a written statement setting out our reasons.

Privacy complaints and procedure
Should you have a privacy complaint or want to report a breach by WITCOM of the Australian Privacy
Principles, we encourage you to inform us so that we can have the opportunity to remedy the issue and find a

We will aim to resolve your complaint within five business days from when we receive your complaint. There
may be times when we need a bit longer to investigate the complaint and respond to you but we will contact
you within five business days to give you an update and let you know when we think we’ll find the answer or
solution. We will also confirm how frequently you would like to be updated moving forward.
We will get back to you by phone unless you have told us you would prefer us to respond in writing. When we
respond to your query or complaint, we will ask you to let us know whether you are satisfied with our
response within 10 business days. If we don’t hear back from you within this time, we will assume the matter
has been resolved satisfactorily.
